Switchblade Comb

Maybe you’ve heard about this before, but a local film called Gattesco’s was shot completely using VHS camcorders, which got it some attention and even a grant, if I’m not mistaken. And here’s the trailer (the first one, though a second was just released).

I gotta say, this is kind of disappointing. Every other filmmaking aspect aside, it looks like it was just shot digitally. I guess I was expecting/hoping for a more 80s look, but whatever.

Gattesco’s will play somewhere local sometime in the future.
