The Return of Godzilla!

The terrible Godzilla: Final Wars was said to be the last Godzilla appearance until 2014 for the 60th anniversary. But not so!
Always: Sunset on Third Street was released in Japan in 2006 and swept every award possible. Tugging at all of the right strings, it’s a nostalgia piece taking place in late 1950s Japan, right when the country was moving out of the past (of the war) and into the future (of rebuilding and new technology). Of course, this all led to emotional missteps in one particular family. It’s online over HERE.
Anyway. The inevitable sequel was made, and in it, it seems they decided to add Godzilla into actual Japanese history! While not a rubber suit (they went with CG), this looks way better than anything seen in most actual Godzilla films.
