Switchblade Comb

Super-popular Asian Kung-Fu Generation formed in 1996 and have put out six albums and five EPs, three of those released in 2008 (including the wonderful Mada Minu Ashita ni). The band has been described as “Weezer meets Foo Fighters” indie-rock (?), and have mellowed out their style in recent years. Their most famous work is in the animes Bleach, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Tekkonkinkreet.

Below is my favorite music video of theirs, though their style is best represented in “Rewrite.” Also worth a watch is
“World World World,” beautifully animated by Yusuke Nakamura.
