At one of the last stops on her solo Australian tour, Amanda Palmer was joined onstage by Trash McSweeney of The Red Paintings for an amazing version of the Tears For Fears song “Mad World.” Most of you will probably remember this song as performed by Gary Jules in the Movie Donnie Darko but the version Palmer & McSweeney do blow that one out of the water. McSweeney previously joined the Dolls for a performance of this song on the DVD released in 2006 called Dresden Dolls: Live at the Roundhouse.

Palmer finishes up her solo tour tonight and then will embark on a two week tour with her main gig, Cabaret punks, The Dresden Dolls.
