The Return of Red Dwarf

When it comes to British sitcoms, you can’t get much better than the low-budget sci-fi Red Dwarf. The show focuses on slob Dave Lister, the last human alive after a radiation leak wipes out the crew of the mining vessel Red Dwarf. He hangs around the spaceship with the uptight, annoyed hologram of his dead bunkmate, Arnold Rimmer and a creature evolved from a cat. And it’s awesome.
While the series finale aired almost 10 years ago, actor Robert ‘Kryten‘ Llewellyn recently announced at the KTCS9 20th Anniversary evening that a new, hour-long episode has been commissioned by BBC Worldwide. The script is currently being finalized, and the show will begin rolling in October.
