The Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire classic The Gay Divorcee is playing at the Heights Theatre this week. Before the start of the film will be a special tribute concert performed by Arge Fogel, plus rare film footage of Ginger Rogers.
This film made international superstars of both Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, and when you see it you will understand why. Rich in pre code humor, gleaming art deco sets, a great music score including Cole Porter’s “Night and Day”, and Fred and Ginger at the brink of super stardom.
