I probably could have been more crass or come up with a wittier headline, but I’ll keep it simple since it’s for charity an’ all.
CMJ.com: Tapes ‘N Tapes will be supporting more than their sophomore album on their upcoming tour — breasts! Or at least breast health.
The Minneapolis-based indie rockers are encouraging fans to donate to and walk in a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or Avon Walk For Breast Cancer event. The walks raise awareness and money for breast cancer research, and fans are being asked to participate as part of “Team Tapes ‘N Tapes.” The teams will report back to the band to let them know how much money they raised, and in each city, one top-money-raising team will win personalized, signed copies of Tapes ‘N Tapes’ upcoming double album, Walk It Off for each participant.
Fans interested in participating can find a local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk HERE, and an Avon Walk For The Cure event HERE. The former takes place nationwide from May through November and the latter from April through October.
