Spike Lee Trying to Make Michael Jordan Documentary

Variety is reporting that Spike Lee is working with the NBA to finance a feature-length documentary about retired basketball superstar Michael Jordan. Spike Lee hopes to premiere it at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
Lee has in the past shot several Nike commercials, he said the NBA-financed docu will include extensive unseen footage shot by NBA cameras during the final two years in Jordan’s career.
“Mike wants to come to Cannes, so hopefully we will be here next year,” said Lee.
