Steven Soderbergh Follows Up Bubble

Steven Soderbergh is set to direct The Girlfriend Experience, a low-budget feature that will focus on the world of prostitution from the view of a $10,000-a-night call girl. Soderbergh intends to use an adult film actress to play the lead role, reminiscent of how he shot Bubble with non-actors.
The film is financed by Mark Cuban’s 2929 Entertainment, through the HDNet label. It will be the second film after Bubble in their six-picture deal they made for Soderbergh to direct low-budget films that get released simultaneously on cable TV, DVD, and in theaters.
