Switchblade Comb

This Spring, Synapse Films is releasing two anticipated cult Japanese films in the U.S. The above clip is from Karaoke Terror, based on a novel by Ryu Murakami that follows five karaoke-obsessed twenty-somethings who start a bloody war with five similarly-obsessed middle-aged women.

The other film, Party 7, is directed by Katsuhito Ishii (Taste of Tea) and stars Tadanobu Asano (Ichi the Killer). Seven characters get thrown together into the same hotel room and fight over a suitcase stolen by the mob, including two hitmen and master voyeur Captain Banana.

Both DVDs look to be available April 28th, 2008.
