Iowa’s Mission Creek Festival 2008

If you’re up for a 5 hour drive from Minneapolis to Iowa City…
The Mission Creek Festival returns to Iowa City for its third year. The dates are: April 2nd-5th. This four-day annual celebration takes over the venues and art spaces in downtown Iowa City, providing an easy-to-navigate nexus of music, literature, and visual art. The best part is: you can’t see bands like these in more intimate, down-home venues anywhere else around! Iowa City, the “writers’ town”, is just about as cozy as it gets. This year’s highlights include CURSIVE, BON IVER, DAN DEACON, THE HOOD INTERNET, NEVA DINOVA, BEN MARCUS, IOWA CITY DOC. FILM FEST, and more! This year we are also working with Daytrotter to expand the parameters of the festival. A series of Mission Creek Satellite Shows will be held in various parts of the nearby Quad Cities [Davenport and Rock Island] in conjunction with the Iowa City festival.
