Gran Torino Cast @ the University of Minnesota

Hmong American cinema rarely gets much attention, so this is rather great news: Tomorrow (Friday), the University of Minnesota will be hosting a panel discussion with Hmong actors from Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino.
The panel includes stars Bee Vang and Ahney Her, as well as Doua Moua, Elvis Thao, and production assistant/cultural consultant Cedric Lee. The panel will be moderated by Louisa Schein, a professor of Anthropology at Rutgers University who specializes in Hmong studies and Hmong media.
