Switchblade Comb

Drunken Post is a feature on Switchblade Comb wherein The Joe and Rich get wasted and post nonsensical / non topical videos or musings at very early hours of the morning.

I forgot about this until Michael Lord emailed me the link. I laughed my fuckin’ balls off when I saw this last week for two reasons:

1. Jerry’s facial expression after Marty says “the size of her opening”.
2. Larry’s outburst at the 50 second mark.

Has anyone noticed that The Joe and I each do a Drunken Post pretty much every night? That would lead one to believe that both of us drink EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. I wonder if that is a sign of alcoholism.

Hey! That’s gonna be part of my new Jeff Foxworthy style stand up comedy act! “You might be an alcoholic if dot dot dot”. Let’s try a couple bits out right now and see how it goes.

Hey, ladies and gentleman! Thanks for coming out to the Chuckle Factory. You’re a lovely crowd, lovely crowd. No seriously, last time I saw a crowd this uninterested in what was happening on stage I was at an Idle Hands show at the Uptown Bar. (laughter) I kid, I kid, I love that band, love ‘em. It’s always fun to watch people fail right in front of you. (laughter and applause)

Anyway…

Have you ever blacked out and woken up on your neighbors couch surrounded by police? If so, then you might be an alcoholic. (laughter)

Do you write for a marginally popular “indie” music blog and have a column called Drunken Posts that you update every night? If so, then you might be an alcoholic. (crickets)

Hmm… looks like that second joke didn’t go over so well. Too soon?
