Bret Easton Ellis’ Less Than Zero Sequel

I had no idea that this is what Bret Easton Ellis has been up to since Lunar Park, but I guess he’s currently writing Imperial Bedrooms, a sequel to his first generation-defining novel, Less Than Zero.
Not only that, but Ellis also wants to reunite the cast of the disasterpiece Less Than Zero movie for a sequel, which includes Robert Downey Jr, Andrew McCarthy, and James Spader. Which is kind of strange, because we could’ve sworn that not all of those characters survived.
On the novel, Ellis told MTV – “It’s in present-day. You’ll find out where all the characters from the book have now ended up, for better or for worse,” and also, “this book is pretty dramatic, in terms of how complicated the relationships have gotten in the last twenty years.”
Expect Imperial Bedrooms in May 2010.
