Off of Silent Alarm, out a long time ago.

I’ve had an advanced copy of the new Solid Gold record Bodies of Water on repeat at work the last few days. It get’s my vote for best (non-Doomtree) local release of 2008! I’ll be talking about the album a little bit more next week. Until then here’s a description of the record from a press release:
…debut album by Solid Gold. Solid Gold’s “Bodies of Water” is a sweeping epic that spans love, loss, redemption and the nature of the human experience. Produced by Ryan Olcott (12 Rods, Mystery Palace), and recorded on a budget of nothing, in apartments, basements, cabins, and farms. Solid Gold has spent the better part of this decade crafting a sound that mirrors our culture, and provides a look at the times to come. Distant and affected by urban life, but as sensual and living as a moving stream.
