In 2006 Nas said “hip hop was dead.” At the time I knew this statement was preposterous, but after the last few years of my favorite hip-hop artists releasing new music that failed to live up to their former greatness I started to believe Nas a little bit. In my mind Kanye West and the Doomtree crew were the only ones still making fresh new records. My expectations for the official Doomtree full-crew debut were very high to say the least. I was afraid I was going to be let down once again. Thankfully this isn’t the case! This is the hottest album of the year folks! A real fucking treat for the hip-hop heads out there. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Doomtree.
